Practical guidance on complying with Directive (EU) 2024/869

Format: Live online webinar • Duration: 3h 30m • Price: €399 per person (excl. VAT)
Language: English • Organised by: ISOPA / ALIPA

Overview

Directive (EU) 2024/869 amends 2004/37/EC and 98/24/EC and introduces new reduced occupational exposure limit values (OELs) for diisocyanates (and lead/inorganic compounds).
This intensive webinar translates the directive from law to workplace practice—so EHS leaders can plan, implement and document compliance across sites and value chains.

Who should attend

Responsible managers for ensuring safe use of diisocyanate-containing substances at work, like EHS/HSE, Industrial Hygiene, Compliance/Quality, Plant or Operations Managers.

What you will learn (key takeaways)

  • Scope & obligations: what the directive changes and how it interacts with existing rules and training obligations.
  • Setting up compliance: exposure assessment strategy, measurement plans, and documentation aligned with OELs.
  • Controls: applying the hierarchy of controls, ventilation and containment good practice, selecting/using PPE effectively.
  • Measurement in practice: recommended technical equipment and methods to measure workplace air concentrations (strengths/limits, selection tips).
  • Implementation roadmap: roles, timelines, records, and contractor/downstream communication.
  • Audit readiness: evidence to keep, typical inspector questions, and how to close gaps.
